Why You Need Jesus
“Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.”
─ Matthew 18:14
─ Matthew 18:14
Have you been born again? This is the most important question you will ever be asked. Your answer makes the difference between being lost and eternally separated from God, or having fellowship with God and eternal life. The Bible says in the twinkling of an eye, Jesus is coming for His Church... Will you go back with us? Are you saved? This isn't something you want to leave to chance.
Salvation is of the Lord, not man. You cannot stop living in sin to be saved, so you do not have to try. Salvation is a gift, not a reward. We don't give up our sins to get saved; we give up our sins because WE ARE SAVED. Only God can make the change. Salvation is by grace through faith alone in Christ (Ephesians 2:8,9). No matter how good you and those around you think you are, being good is not the way to the true and living God. If you do not receive the gift of salvation before you die, you will die in sin and be eternally separated from God. There are only two places the spirit man can live, in heaven with God or in hell. There is no changing your final destination after death.
The Bible says that every person has been created with the knowledge that God exists. This is why there are so many who have been deceived into thinking that the universe is a god, that animals are gods, that we are gods, and so on (Psalm 14:1). The True and Living God created us, and He has made a way for us to know Him personally, not simply as a God who exists, but as a Father. However, He has said that this can only happen through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, in His death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to God and to Heaven.
Genesis 1:26 says, "God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Adam's disobedience changed everything. When he disobeyed God's instruction, the Spirit of God left man, and man was no longer born in the image of God but in the image of Adam. Genesis 5:3 says everyone born after that was born in Adam's likeness, separated from God. God sent Jesus to redeem mankind and take back what Satan stole.
God's Plan of Salvation is Simple
When the apostles Paul and Silas were thrown in jail in the city of Philippi for preaching the gospel. At midnight, they sang and prayed until God broke down all the doors and broke the stocks which held their feet with a great earthquake. The poor jailer, frightened and convicted of his sins, came to these two preachers and asked this question: "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." Acts 16:24-31 (NIV)
You Must Repent Of Your Sins
Sin is simply disobedience to God, and God says sin deserves punishment. We are BORN sinners because of Adam's disobedience; our sin separates us from God. No matter how good you or those around you think you are, you are a sinner.
Jesus said in Matthew 7:22-23, "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS."
So please don’t believe the lie that:
None of this is true. The Bible makes it clear that we all are sinners and whoever keeps the whole law (good deeds) and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all (James 2:10) There is nothing we can do to make ourselves acceptable; we need God to save us.
2) How To Be Born Again
We cannot save ourselves from the penalty of sin. Only the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus can take away our sins. The following is what the Bible says.
Ask Jesus To Come Into Your Heart
Do you recognize that you need salvation? Do you believe in what Christ has done? As a sign of turning from sin, we begin by asking Jesus to come into our heart. You can do this anytime and anywhere. You can pray something like this:
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and the sinful life that I live separates me from You. Lord, I ask You to forgive me of my sins. I know I owe a sin debt that I cannot pay. I believe Jesus died on the cross and rose on the third day to pay my sin debt. Save me. I want to be saved. I want to put all my trust in you, Lord; show me how. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer from the bottom of your heart, you are saved. Welcome to the family! I am so glad that you made the decision to trust in Jesus, and I would love to celebrate with you and help you in your new journey. Email me and let me know.
What To Do Now...
Being a Christian means more than just saying a prayer. When true faith begins in the heart of a person, it is revealed through action. Now that you believe in Jesus and have confessed Him as Lord and Savior, He calls you to become His disciple and follow Him. This is not a journey to earn His favor; He already loves you as much as He can. Following Jesus is a blessing of living a life of eternal purpose and meaningful worship to our Father in Heaven. Because God has given you His Holy Spirit, you can grow in your knowledge of His will through the Bible and serve Him with your life in the world and in the local church. I strongly encourage you to get connected with a Bible Believing church family near you that preaches and teaches the Bible, faithfully making God’s Word clear and applicable.
God has blessed us all with Jesus Christ,

So please don’t believe the lie that:
- Believing in God WILL NOT save you.

- Joining a religious organization WILL NOT save you.
- Giving money or volunteering to charity WILL NOT save you.
- The universe CANNOT save you.
- Changing your behavior WILL NOT save you.
- Water baptism WILL NOT save you.
- And please don’t think that because you are young, you have time to get right with God.

- Admit that you are a sinner. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
- God has already provided for your salvation. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son [Jesus Christ] that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
- Repent of your sins. “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
- Call upon Jesus Christ to save you. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13) and “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31). “If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9, 10).
