Why You Need Jesus
“Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.”
─ Matthew 18:14
─ Matthew 18:14
The Bible says that every person has been created with the knowledge that God exists. This is why there are so many who have been deceived into thinking that the universe is a god, that animals are god, that we are gods and so on (Psalm 14:1). The True and Living God created us, and He has made a way for us to know Him personally; not simply as a God who exists. However, He has said that this can only happen through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus on Cross. Faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to God and to Heaven.
Genesis 1:26-28: 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Then Adam's disobedience changed everything. The Spirit of God left man and man was no longer born in the image of God, but in the image of Adam. Genesis 5:3: And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. And every person was born in Adam's image. Adam also lost his dominion when he disobeyed God and sinned.
God sent Jesus to redeem mankind and take back what Satan stole. God's plan of Salvation is simple. When the Apostles, Paul and Silas were thrown in jail in the city of Philippi for preaching the gospel. At midnight, they sang and prayed until God broke down all the doors and broke the stocks which held their feet with a great earthquake. The poor jailer, frightened and convicted of his sins, came to these two preachers and asked this question, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." Acts 16:24-31 (NIV)
YOU MUST REPENT OF YOUR SINS
Sin is simply disobedience to God, and God says sin deserves punishment. We are BORN sinners because of Adam's disobedience; our sin separates us from God. No matter how good you or those around you think you are, you are a sinner.
Jesus said in Matthew 7:22-23, "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS."
So please don’t believe the lie that:
None of this is true. The Bible makes it clear that we all are sinners and whoever keeps the whole law (good deeds) and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all (James 2:10) There is nothing we can do to make ourselves acceptable; we need God to save us.
2) ASK JESUS TO COME INTO YOUR HEART
Have you been born again?
This is the most important question you will ever be asked. Your answer makes the difference between being lost and eternally separated from God or having fellowship with God and eternal life. The Bible says in the twinkling of an eye, Jesus is coming for His Church... Will you go back with us? Are you saved? This isn't something you want to leave to chance.
Salvation is of the Lord, not man. You cannot stop living in sin to be saved, so you do not have to try. Salvation is a gift, not a reward. We don't give up our sins to get saved; we give up our sins because WE ARE SAVED. Only God can make the change. Salvation is by grace through faith alone in Christ (Ephesians 2:8,9). No matter how good you and those around you think you are, you are a sinner who has already been forgiven, however, if you do not receive your forgiveness how can you possess it? If you do not receive the gift of salvation before you die, you will die in sin and be eternally separated from God. There are only two places the spirit man can live, in Paradise with God or in Hades Hell. There is no changing your final destination after death.
How to be born again
We cannot save ourselves from the penalty of sin. Only the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus can take away our sins. The following is what the Bible says.
Do you recognize that you need salvation? Do you believe in what Christ has done? As a sign of turning from sin, we begin by asking Jesus to come into our heart. This is also called as the ‘Salvation Prayer’ or the ‘Sinner's prayer’. You can do this anytime and anywhere. You can say something out of your mouth like:
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and the sinful life that I live separates me from You. Lord, I ask You to forgive me of my sins. I know I owe a sin debt that I cannot pay. I believe Jesus died on the cross and rose on the third day to pay my sin debt. Save me. I want to be saved. I want to put all my trust in you, Lord, show me how. Amen.
If you have prayed this prayer from the bottom of your heart, you are saved. I am so glad that you made the decision to trust in Jesus, and I would love to hear from you. Please email me.
WHAT TO DO NOW...
Being a Christian means more than just saying a prayer. When true faith begins in the heart of a person, it is revealed through action. Now that you believe in Jesus and have confessed Him as Lord and Savior, He calls you to become His disciple and follow Him. This is not a journey to earn His favor; He already loves you as much as He can. Following Jesus is a blessing of living a life of eternal purpose and meaningful worship to our Father in Heaven. Because God has given you His Holy Spirit, you can grow in your knowledge of His will through the Bible and serve Him with your life in the world and in the local church. I strongly encourage you to get connected with a Bible Believing church family near you that preaches and teaches the Bible, faithfully making God’s Word clear and applicable.
God has blessed us all with Jesus Christ,

We cannot save ourselves from the penalty of sin. Only the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus can take away our sins. The following is what the Bible says.
- Admit that you are a sinner. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
- God has already provided for your salvation. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son [Jesus Christ] that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
- Repent of your sins. “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
- Call upon Jesus Christ to save you. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13) and “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31). “If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9, 10).
