What is a house church?
A House Church is a real, effectual, local, small congregation of Christians worshiping and practicing its faith. It is a house of worship, one that is as old as the Church itself. The early Christians "continuously devoted themselves to fellowship." (Acts 2:42). Cyrus Redemption Center is a group of Believers who regularly come together for worship, Bible study, prayer, and service in a home rather than a traditional church facility. Nothing more and nothing less. We gather weekly to pray, worship, break bread, and grow into fully committed disciples of Jesus. We meet in the pastor’s home, thus the reason we are called a house church.
When you join us, our service may look different from the traditional church, as it is more relaxed and informal than most traditional churches. Our Sunday worship service includes praise, prayer, Scripture, tithes and offerings, communion, and a sermon message. On the other hand, since we are Holy Spirit-led, often times a formal program is typically not followed. Bible study on Tuesday night is online via Zoom and is pretty much interactive, as Pastor Angeline wants to ensure that you are getting a clear understanding of what the Scripture is saying.
We understand that the idea of the house church does not easily fit into the model of many American believers, even though the church is people, not a building, and even though the first Christians met in homes. However, if you prefer an intimate setting where you can learn and grow in Christ, then Cyrus Redemption Center is perfect for you, as we are a new, small fellowship where everyone really does know your name, or soon will.
Are you interested in joining a gathering?
Since we gather in our personal homes, we don’t publicly post our addresses. But we’re open for those interested in joining a gathering to reach out. If that’s you, contact us and tell us a little more about yourself, and we can plan your visit to one of our gatherings
